Personal Vision
My personal vision isn’t very specific, at least for now. There have been a lot of different fields that I’ve considered (storyboard animation, political science, and writing to name a few), but right now I don’t know what path would be best for me. I'm still open to those options, but I don't want to settle on any one career path until I have more real-world experience and a clearer idea of what I want for myself. I'm hoping that going to community college will give me some idea of what I want to do, so that's my plan for now.
What I do know is that I value my free time, and I have a lot of interests that I want to expand on. Whatever career I end up with, it needs to be something that doesn’t take over my life, because I can’t and won’t give up my interests for my career. I also know that I need routine, so I want to find a career with structure (preferably structure that I have some control over). Of course this might not be possible, and I certainly don't expect to find the perfect job right away. At this point, I’m open to anything, and really I just want to be able to live comfortably. That might mean leaving the Bay Area, which I’m open to. My main goal is improving myself and the world, so I’ll do whatever will enable me to reach that goal.
